Why this directory exists
Most online directories copy business details from each other, so mistakes spread and nobody can tell where a fact came from. South Coast Local works the other way round: we check each business against public sources, show those sources on the profile, and say plainly what we couldn't confirm.

- Clear labels for businesses based outside Wollongong, and for claims only the business itself makes.
What we don't do
- We don't publish or sell reviews.
- We don't add facts we can't source.
- We don't hide paid or featured placement. Featured businesses are always labelled.
